Directors Guild of Canada BC
Kendrie joined the Directors Guild of Canada in BC in 1986 and began working in the Locations Department. She’s been involved with all types of production at a broad variety of budget levels. Credits include feature films “Watchmen” and “TRON2”, CBC series “Arctic Air” and A&E Series “Bates Motel”. Kendrie has also authored and taught numerous film and Locations related courses over the years since as early as 1996 including both the current Locations training and the original apprenticeship program for Locations personnel. She also held the position of Locations Caucus Representative on the Executive Board of the DGC BC for eleven of the fourteen years from 2003 until 2016.
In addition to her film work Kendrie has studied mediation, negotiation conflict resolution and leadership at the Justice Institute of BC as well as life and career coaching with the Coaches Training Institute. In combination with her ongoing film career in 2008 she established Soul Focus Coaching where she coaches predominantly film personnel on a wide variety of topics including career building and work / life balance.
She’s held the position of Executive Director with the DGCBC since early 2016.
