Ed Mansfield, Ph.D.
Ed Mansfield is a partner in MNP LLP’s Economics and Research Group. Based in Vancouver, Ed has over 25 years of experience in consulting on economic and statistical issues. His work has included assignments for public and private companies, professional and industry organizations, and numerous government ministries. Among the industry sectors in which Ed has worked are tourism, major events, film and television, transportation, forestry, agriculture, technology, finance, and manufacturing.
Ed has led many studies in both the tourism industry and the film and television industry. Included in his past tourism industry work have been projects with Destination Marketing Organizations, government agencies, tourism operators and transportation providers. Of particular note was his leadership of a multi-year study on the financial, economic and social impacts of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games for the Government of Canada and the Government of BC. Ed’s past projects in the film and television industry have included industry-wide studies in jurisdictions in the US and Canada, as well as production-specific studies in BC and other states and provinces. Of particular note was his leadership of a multi-year study on the New Mexico film and television industry for the State of New Mexico.
