CEO, British Columbia Automobile Association
Eric is a serial intrapreneur and CEO at British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA).
He conceptualized and led the launch of Evo Car Share, which in just five years has transformed metro Vancouver’s mobility landscape. He also led the modelling and launch of BCAA Auto Service Centres and devised BCAA’s innovation process and funnel.
Prior to serving as CEO, Eric led BCAA’s Strategic Ventures team which provides visibility into the evolving needs of consumers, and strategies to address these future requirements through the development and commercialization of new avenues for long-term, sustainable value and growth. Through methodical analysis and exploration, opportunities are evaluated through the lenses of consumer need and organizational fit with the ability to create disruptive innovation.
In several leadership roles during his 8 years at BCAA, in addition to his role around innovative start-up platforms, Eric has also overseen BCAA’s internal Consulting, Digital Marketing, Market Research, Roadside Assistance business, and more with a team of up to 260 – always focused on his key mandate to accelerate growth while delivering exceptional BCAA Member value in new and innovative ways every day.
Mobility is at the heart of BCAA, which seeks to help British Columbians connect with our province, communities, and one-another with new mobility solutions.
BCAA serves 1 in 3 BC households and has a long history of keeping British Columbians mobile and roads safe; and giving back in ways that improve the lives of people and communities throughout the province.
Before moving to BCAA in 2011, Eric was a key member of The Coca-Cola Company marketing and innovation teams for over 10 years and spent a further two years with The Globe and Mail.
