Dr. Rob Hood is Associate Professor in the Tourism Management Department at Thompson Rivers University. His professional and educational experience includes collaborative projects aimed at supporting rural tourism development in BC. His teaching and research activities have involved students in numerous projects to effectively prepare students for the workplace and current issues in tourism management. Such was most evident when hosting the first BC Rural Tourism Conferences in 2010 and 2011.
Rob served as Chair of the TRU Tourism Management Department for 7 years, and Dean (interim) for the Faculty of Adventure, Culinary Arts and Tourism for 3 years.
